Alloy Shredder Blades

Crusher blades are primarily used for various types of plastic products. They come in two main types: all-steel blades and steel-tipped blades.

Materials: 65Mn spring steel, 9crsi, SK5, T10, SKD11, D2, HSS
Hardness: HRC 52-55
Features: Good impact resistance
Applications: Suitable for shredding and recycling plastic materials such as ABS, PE, and PP sheets

scope of application

Alloy Shredder Blades are suitable for shredding and recycling plastic materials such as ABS, PE, and PP sheets.
Steel grades commonly used for processing Alloy Shredder Blades: 301# stainless steel, 302# stainless steel, 303# stainless steel, 304# stainless steel, 410# stainless steel, 420# stainless steel, 440# stainless steel, etc.

Among them, 3Cr13 material is more commonly used: 3Cr13, also known as 30Cr13, is a martensitic stainless steel produced in my country. Named after GB/T 1220 China National Steel Classification Standard. The steel contains up to 0.3% carbon and 13% chromium. Stainless steel is made possible by a high chromium content of over 11%.

This steel has been used for many years as a reliable knife steel. In the United States, it is very popular among knife makers for its excellent quality and low price.

3Cr13 has a hardness of 54 HRC. But the hardness can vary between 52 and 55 HRC, depending on the steel manufacturer. The less carbon in steel, the lower its hardness. Compared with premium steel, 3cr13 steel blades have a lower carbon content, so they are moderately hard.

3cr13 Alloy Shredder Blades Toughness One of the reasons many knifemakers swear by this steel is its high toughness and affordability. The increased toughness is due to the lower hardness of this steel (these two factors are inversely proportional). Therefore, you can trust this steel to create strong knives that can withstand a lot of abuse without breaking or chipping easily.

3cr13 is Alloy Shredder Blades which has the characteristics of low carbon content and high chromium content. For this reason, you can trust steel to resist corrosion very well. But keep in mind that this steel will eventually rust with repeated exposure to harsh weather conditions. Regular care and maintenance is key to ensuring your knives stay corrosion-free and last longer.
Before choosing a 3cr13 steel knife, you also want to know how it compares to other popular knife steels.

3Cr13 and 420J2

Many knife experts agree that the two steels have many similarities. But it has a slightly higher hardness, which means better edge retention. Because it also has a high chromium content, 420J2 steel has good corrosion resistance and is used to make scalpels, diving knives, scissors, etc.
3cr13 and 420 steel

These two steels are Alloy Shredder Blades and have good corrosion resistance. This means they will make knives suitable for use in marine environments or wet conditions. However, 420 steel is quite soft due to the low carbon content and it won’t hold its edge for long compared to 3cr13. 420 steel is best for crafting decorative knives or swords. For everyday use, the 3cr13 is the better choice of the two.
